Windows wants MORE money?!
So I was just reading Gel's blog about how they're thinking about releasing another version of Windows Explorer. Windows 7. (Finally ran out of fancy names and decided to go back into number hunh?)
I'm just a little bit annoyed at them (Windows) because really, it's only been a year or so since Vista. Do they really NEED another operating system? And I'm still thinking about it, but can there really be that many more changes from Windows Vista to Windows 7?!
I mean, Vista is already all chromiefied (is that a word?) and they've added the search thing in the start bar. They've also updated the graphics since Windows 2000. So really, other then the prettier graphics, there wasn't all that much change from Windows XP to Vista. I could understand a little why people would want to buy Vista though, it just seemed glossier than XP.
However, now that three quarters of the world's population either owns a MAC or Windows Vista. Why would we want to spend more money on Windows 7 when we have a perfectly good vista? It's lame! It's not like they could make the Windows 7 even more glossier! Cause if they did, I think I would go blind from all of the gradients they would use on all the icons.
Another thing that irks me is that I really think Windows is doing it for the money. Every couple of years (not even) they release a new version of an already amazing computer system. Expecting people to chuck out thousands of dollars for prettier graphics. Come on people, how pathetic can we get? I understand all the leap from Windows 2000 to a newer version, cause the new ones are much faster. But Windows 7? Vista is already pretty amazing.
Bill Gates is a freaking million-oh wait, let me correct myself-BILLIONAIRE. And he wants more. Just goes to show how greedy humans can be.

Just a few things:
Bill Gates isn't CEO. Ballmer is. Gates just sits on the board and doesn't contribute to any of the development process (that I'm aware of)
Also, the attempts to "reinvent" Vista failed because people trashed it for various reasons, while ignoring the fact that they didn't meet the requirements. Remember Mojave? Yeah, didn't think so.
People are more likely to be receptive to a "brand new" OS instead of one that they've "heard was awful".
Look at iPods, now THAT is a money suck!

Please do not mention Vista. x__x It is nothing but hell, in my opinion. I was fond of XP, it played my games and ran quickly, but because my laptop is new I can't remove Vista so I'm stuck with lag. Px It looks pretty, but I couldn't give two hoots! I need my games! Dx
Anyway, -ends rant- between you and me, I've yet to even think about recoding layouts. xD -shifty eyes- I'm too lazy. And I as soon as I open one up I get distracted and prance off in a daze. 8D -has the worst attention span ever-
I should really get round to it though. Some of the codes are horrendous. xD That, and I've perfectly all right layouts I won't/can't upload because they don't like IE.

I don't see the point in a billion links. Might as well go join some sort of topsite or something... then again, that's probably why people link to a billion other peeps. x__x

i actually don't really like vista.
so i've still got my XP while my laptop's got the already installed vista.
i think it's weird. haha

lol ahh I'll try to slow down :P. I try to reply asap cause I sometimes get confused as to whether I commented people back or not lol.
Stalking people could be fun lol. I never really stalked anyone, but it could be interesting lol.
I hate it too. They should spread the projects out, cause every teacher gives out a million assignments at the end and I have 3 classes, their kinda busy so I'd like to work on final projects at like the beginning of the semester lol. Get them out of the way, then again, I'm a huge procrastinator, which isn't good at all!
I agree, I have windows vista on my laptop, it makes everything look way more pretty than the desktop, lol when I go on it I'm like "ew" haha. I don't really see the huge deal about Vista. My webcam won't even work on it, its stupid. so in order for me to be able to use a webcam, i have get one thats compatiable with Vista, and their like 80-90 even over 100$ at best buy, It's insane! I don't think I'll upgrade to windows 7 lol.

I wanted a new laptop, since my desktop is 7 years old, and my dad is making me wait till this new system comes out. I think Vista is a bit like Windows 2000, it wasn't as good as it could be, and then Windows XP came out and it was the biggest thing since sliced bread. Or at least I hope so, because my new computer is going to run on W7. :D

I'm not even sure when the final release of the Windows 7 will be and to be honest with you, I still haven't tinkered with the actual Vista yet. Just only for a couple of minutes coz i'm still used to my little old XP OS. Hehe. I'm kinda looking forward to the other operating systems that are in store for us in the near future but I just hate it that we're sort of stuck in this forever changing world when it comes to the techie side. It's hard to keep up!!!

Maybe they're calling it Windows 7 because they haven't come up with a fancy name yet and they're might be a lot of bugs with Vista that most people don't know about.
It is rather annoying to me though because I don't even have Vista on my computer (although I wish I did) and they're coming out with a new OS already?!

I don't keep up with any of that, lol. My next step is to become a Mac, they're so much faster and I just love them! Right now, I'm content with the computer I have, plus all my files are on it. Ugh, how greedy of him, what is he doing with that money anyway? =/

Well has everyone forgotten about cool windows xp? My friend got vista and she said it wasn't that good because no programmes worked with it which I think is pointless. I wouldn't want to upgrade and find my programmes not working. A mac is a different story all together, YES PLEASE.
I really want to do a bigger clean-out of affiliates. I mean, some of them just speak to me to say that they have a new layout which is really annoying. I like becoming friends with my affiliates, I do not mind having a lot of affiliates should they talk to me quite often. Or is that too much to ask from these hit obsessed sites? :(
PS. I am adding you now. I could just added this onto the end of the previous paragraph but you know. This seemed cooler.

Windows 7, codenamed as Vienna (sorry Kay, still messed up names), has way better than Vista. Vista is really messed up and has tons of bugs... don't even let me get into that. Windows 7 is a major improvement from Vista. I never updated my Windows XP to Vista cause... it sucks a lot. I'm for sure updating to Windows 7 though, it looks amazing from what I seen.
It was going to be released next year but Microsoft sped up the process and it's going to be released this year. Microsoft already has Windows 7 in public beta - my brother downloaded it and I tried it out, it was superb, major improvement from Vista.
Yeah... I sound like a geek. But whatever. XD
And about releasing new stuff every year...
Why do you think Apple is still in business? Tehy update their ipods and notebooks with new technology. Apple is already making a notebook that doesn't have a keyboard, there is only a wheel (like the ipod wheel), this is supposedly going to be released in a year. Why do you think most countries don't allow Hybrids to be driven? Because of the stupid economy. They don't want gas and oil to drop cause it makes huge bucks.

Yeah, I agree with you. Honestly, I'm not even a big fan of Windows Vista. It kinda annoys me. My dad bought a new Vista, and he offered to give it to me, but I didn't like it so I stuck with my Windows XP. The problem is that now my laptop is broken and only functions as a desktop, which means I'll have to buy a new laptop sometime very soon. I'm trying really hard to put it off, but I think if I put it off any longer, I'll be stuck with the new Windows 7. And I have a feeling that I'll hate that even more than Vista... Ugh, Microsoft needs to stop making new operating systems! Seriously, I love my good ol' Windows XP! On a side note, they also need to kill Internet Explorer. :D

I'm probably still one of the very few ppl in the world with XP and tbh, I think that Vista sucks. They should stop making so many operating systems, its kinda pointless. I still love my XP. And theres probably no more difference between Windows 7 and Vista, so whats the point?

Arr. I heard all about Windows 7. Looks ugly tbh. I currently have Vista.. I hate it. I really don't like the option when it comes to emptying the bin. Why have an option to delete the recycle bin? I know there's ways to remove. But on XP, there was no option when you went to delete it to actually remove the bin itself. It pisses me off, I always do it when I go to empty it.

Ahaha, alright well then Alex is yours. I get myself some Johnny Depp, I don't mind the older ones... aha. I don't ACTUALLY update all that much, I save it up during the week and spit it all out at the end, so it looks like I've done all this work at once, when really... it's all an illusion.
I don't even have Vista, I'm quite happy with my XP. I'm too old to get accustomed to all this fancy technology. I miss my walkman, and my little pacman :(. But, in all honesty, Bill Gates barely uses his money, and will leave scarcely anything for his children, he wants to donate it all. Or so he claims, who knoooows.

I bet Windows 7 is the exact same thing.... they just know that a lot of people dislike windows vista and they're trying to get them back.... it's actually a smart move in my opinion..... and I dont get why so many people dislike vista anyway.... i love it!

That's Microsoft for you. Because they are the computer giants, so pervasive that nearly every household owns a Windows computer, (Of course, we have the Apple and Linux worshippers scattered here and there - but Windows still prevails at the moment.) they take advantage of this fact to guzzle more money out of us.
I am still using Windows XP, and I blatantly refuse to upgrade to Windows Vista or whatsoever. According to my friends who use Vista, it guzzles CPU like crazy, and hangs ever so often. (Although it is tough to establish whether it is Microsoft's problem or a problem with their hardware.)

I personally don't have vista, but I've seen it on my sister's computer & friend's. It's pretty "glossy", i definitely know what you're talking about. Im really surprised that Bill Gates has a lot of money, and he still knows how to keep it up. :|

Thanks=] and THERES A HUGE DIFFERENCE between vista and XP. lol a lot of old programs dont work on vista cause of coding.. liek my sims 2 didn't =[ i like xp a lot better.. and uhh i dont want 7 even thought its suppose to be just like vista.. 2000 and XP are almost the same adn Vista and 7 are suppose to be the same.. almost. there was a huge jump between xp and vista

Well if I was to dye my hair without the skin test, I could have a reaction and my head might swell up and my hair fall out. So the skin test will detect any reactions before I use it on my hair haha xD.
The background is meant to be a REALLY pale purple :). I looked at it and it is hard to tell, but it definitly has a purple tinge to it :). I think...|:.

I had vista with my laptop so I didn't pay any extra! But I won't be buying another new system, what is the point? People are only starting now to buy Vista and will be angry if another new one comes out.
