What one page could hold all the awesomeness that is us? (Kay, Zoe)

My spark first appeared when an old friend of mine introduced me to piczo.com. Yes, that Piczo. The first step of many on my journey to sitedom.

I was so amused by the whole site making business that I quickly changed the my Piczo site from tacky glitters to a ‘more professional’ site, or so I thought. The site was still Piczo but it was my first brush with html and CSS.

You see, in my time (Yes…-_-) Piczo allowed you to use things called “html boxes“. Basically it’s a tool that allows you to put in html and CSS to create an effect or something on the page you put it on.

While this helped me improve my site a lot more by introducing cool effects, it also required a lot of patience when updating. You have to manually change each and every page; trust me, when you have over 50 pages, it is not something to joke about.

I played with Piczo for a bit and then when exploring the different help sites on the web, I decided that I wanted to become one of those amazing sites that everyone knows about. And in the process, help people who were like me that were new to web design.

Browsing around the internet, I discovered some free web hosts and domain providers. No, they weren’t all high and mighty like the .com’s but it was a far cry from Piczo.

And from there, II changed several hosts before finally being hosted with my lovely site e.heartbomb.org or also known as ecstasy. That actually lasted for quite a while, a year almost before I got attacked by the spam bots, (the sure sign that your site gets visitors! XD) I decided I wanted to get WordPress instead of Cutenews. Sad thing was that my host never replied so I decided to get hosted by my lovely and ever so wonderful friend, Regina. She so graciously helped me set up WordPress.

That didn’t last very long though, her domain expired and I ended up buying paper-rain.org. You know how the rest of the story goes :)
