I really am very sorry to everyone that visits Paper-rain and was expecting updates or what not. And I feel like I owe everyone a nice explanation and apology ^^

First issue that I'm going to address is that I have been horribly inactive lately and I wouldn't blame any of my affies if they have removed me already. I know, horrible of me. But frankly, I've been really addicted to Audition (a game) and I just don't have the extra time on the computer to maintain my site and still feed my addiction XD NOOO, don't think like that (yes I can tell what you are thinking) Paper-rain is not going to close, just gonna be going on a mini-hiatus for a while ^^

Of course, while this is on, I'm going to hand my reins over to Zoe, since she's been making some lovely updates while I've been mooching my way on the site. I really am sorry to everyone, but lately it just seems like web-designing is a drag and I can't find any good ideas or inspiration. Nothing to do with anyone or anything on the web, just that I need a break for a bit. To gather my marbles in a sense. So this is going to be my last blog for a bit :)

Now that all the apologies are over and done with :P Let's address some interesting news! APRIL AND VIRUSES! Yes! Today is April Fool's day, sadly I didn't have enough time to plan a spectacular prank (I don't suppose you would believe me if I were to say that I have run away to vegas and became a stripper? Nahh, I wouldn't believe myself either) however, don't count me out as I will be back (imagine Terminator voice) next year with something truely amazing so this will be your only warning...muahahaha.

The other thing that's got me all jumpy and kind of excited is the Confiker Virus. YESH, the infamous virus that was spread in 2008 which attacked Windows (Yesh, only windows operating systems) and spread havoc for a while. What it does is that it basically steals information (like bank, identity, etc.) and (What I've heard) is that makes a dark google or sorts. Then it sells the information to baddies on the web for some cash.

No one yet has been able to catch these cyber-criminals yet and guess what?....Microsoft is offering $250,000 for anyone who does catch them. o_O

Incentive eh? I think so...so all you pros out there, if you catch these guys, well you'll be well off for a bit ^^ If only...*sighs*

So I'll probably still try to do requests for premades but we'll see, until later (you're in Zoe's hands)

Yes, in Canada, it's called March Break, not spring break. Simply because it doesn't look enough like spring for us Canadians to call it that. Sad, but true. There's still snow on the ground over here and the air doesn't smell of dirt and dead grass just yet, close but not quite.

As for what I'm going to be doing over this entire March Break...well I think my lovely visitors could probably take a pretty good guess...pampering you guys, that's what. I'm going to be adding content after content, as well as getting the Layout request section up. I've decided that I won't charge anything for the premades that I make (I can do XHTML+CSS and WordPress themes) since I don't own any of the text...so anyways, stay tuned for that :)

In my life...I've been pretty down lately...guess it's just the hormones in the air but I just haven't been feeling very good. (maybe I'm sick?) But I do have some good news, I got new glasses! Yah. They're the cool square ones but I've been wearing them and I've been getting a horrible headache. I think it's just because I need to get used to them but still...it's a bitch.

Blah, I know. Boring blog. Seriously, I lead such an uninteresting life...and since I felt the need to blog and I don't feel that good. This is the result of those two forces. *blah* However! Lucky you! UPDATES! I know, you love me. (You just don't know it yet! Puahah)

QUESTION TIME: And not a very original question at that...but what are you doing over march break? (And don't say going to Florida or some other kind of warm place or I might be forced to virtually hurt you...everyone I know is going somewhere warm..and ditching Kay in -54378976 Celsius weather...*pout*)

I wonder if anyone has noticed it...but it seems that spam has matured quite a lot in the past couple of month. Don't know what I'm talking about? Or don't even know what spam is? Okay then, spam is those annoying little messages that you get that advertise something. Usually it's a whole comment filled with links. Yah, those people who leave one line comments and then a "visit my site!" are considered spam in my books too.

Now, usually any site that gets some visitors will get spam, it's just the way the world turns. So with spam, everyone knows that it's usually about sex, or porn, or some kind of body enlargement. Oh yesh, body enlargement. Yah. Anyways, not my point here, my point is that spam has gotten way smarter. Here's a comparison if you want proof.

On to other things :D What would people feel if I did a request for premades thing? Cause right now my premades section is pretty much dead...since I can never find the time, but would people feel okay with paying a small fee for me making you a personal layout? Coded, graphics, etc. I mean, I think my layout skills are okay :)

Lastly! My friend let me borrow her tablet yesterday so I scanned on one of my drawings and colored it. What do you think? Criticism is very welcome! This is my first time doing a graphic painting (?)

That's okay :D You don't have to love me for my wit and charm, but I do have good news! A new layout will be up very very soon! (which in Kay speak is, it'll probably be up next week) I just have to work out a few kinks and code it into wordpress and I'll be all set. So that's part one of: I'm so sorry for leaving you guys for such a long time without doing anything!

Since I've been away for such a long time, I'm a little rusty with the whole blogging thing (good thing Zoe was here to patch things over). Basically, for those that didn't know, I've been super duper busy with a musical that our school was doing. And no, I wasn't something especially important, just someone in the Chorus, but man was it ever tiring!

The play we did was "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", most of you probably know it :P And, I've gotta say, it was a LOT of fun, but the price I paid was that I walked around with rings under my eyes for days!

Anyways, so I'm sure you're wondering about my wonderful title? (yah, this time it actually took me some thinking to come up with!) Let me just tell you that this is sort of a rant...of my disbelief.

So here's the whole story. The chorus people were backstage, including me (who was one of the soloists) and we were just getting ready for the curtain to open. There was about 5 minutes to go. As I was clearing my thoughts and breathing deeply, here's what I heard:

"You're prettier!"

"No! You're prettier"

"Omg, are you blind?! You are obviously the gorgeous one here! I'm so ugly!"

...and on it went. Only for one of the two girls (both pretty) to ask one of my friends, we'll call her Jane, to officiate this "Who is Prettier Contest"

Yah. I was shocked and...really really gaping in disbelief. Here were two girls who weren't debating about grades, or who should be president, or even who was the hottest boy. NoOOooo. They just had to take it to another whole new level. Who was PRETTIER?!

I'll let this situation speak for itself.

Everytime I go back to Taiwan for the summer, there's always some random auntie or uncle asking me why aren't I at school. So far our conversations go like this:

Auntie: Mei mei, why aren't you at school huh?

Me: Hehe, it's because I don't go to school here.

Auntie: Oh? Why is that then?

Me: -_- I come from England, I come back to Taiwan for my summer holdiays.

Auntie: England? >_< Wow, does it snow there?

Everytime, at breakfeast stands, swimming pools, hair salons, book shops. You name it, there's always been a person from there where I've had a conversation like that. Other popular ones are: Have I seen the queen? or Is it cold over there? Normally I always answer: No, I have not met the queen, and yes it is very cold. But whenever I say no, it doesn't really snow here they always look at me with disappointment. They give you the face that little kids give you when you tell them Santa doesn't exsist. They go "Oh, so it doesn't snow?"

But this year I'm gonna please the crowds XP, Englands been snowing like crazy lately. So I'm determined this year I'm gonna make some random Taiwanese auntie happy. It snowed solidly for about a week, and school was on and off. Everything was pretty much messed up 'cause of the snow, but it was fun XD But now its all turned into ice, so walking to school I feel like I should have ice picks.
