Ah, typography, basically the cherry on top that finishes off every good graphic. What exactly is typography you ask? Read my article on it and then come back for the contest

Now that you have sort of an idea of what typography is. Let me just tell you what typography will be for this contest. Art with letters/text. How in the world are you going to be able to accomplish this? Well, you need to first choose a word/2 words that you can play with; then display that word in such a way so that it will reveal the meaning of the word (or double meaning)
Still have no idea what the heck it is that I'm rambling about? Below are some examples.
See? Still don't get it? Well say I was doing my site name: paper-rain.org; I might have the image of an umbrella and then with the words RAIN coming down, with a paper texture look to them. Something like that! This excersise is a must be able to do for web-designers. So let your creative juices run!
Send it to me, and Zoe and I will judge the photo on
- Creativity (Placing, size, etc.)
- Emotion (Does it make us smile? Grin? or flat out cry?)
- Font Choice (what fonts did you use? Does it reflect your meaning?)
We will end the contest once we have 10 entries
Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd) will receive:
- 1st Place: 1 month advertising, an award, and a graphic (layout, coding, banner, icons, anything) of your choice or an extra weeks' advertising
- 2nd Place: 2 weeks advertising, an award, and a graphic (layout, banner, icons) or 4 extra days advertising
- 3rd Place: 1 week advertising, an award, and a graphic (banner, icon) or another day of advertising
